面。粉。居。简单的三个字,不简单的马来西亚文化
如果你曾经站在我们的店门口,看着招牌上的「面粉居」三个字,心里可能闪过一个念头——👉 是卖面粉的? 👉 是卖糕的? 👉 还是卖面的? 别急,你不是第一个疑惑的,也绝对不会是最后一个。 其实,这三个字的背后,没有什么高深的品牌策略,也不是算过风水、看过笔画才定下来的名字。它的诞生,反而很马来西亚——随性、混合、多语言、很生活。 一切,要从一碗我们从小吃到大的「面粉糕」说起。 在马来西亚,这道食物几乎没有一个统一的名字。客家人叫它「面粉茶粿」,福建人说是 Mee Hoon Kueh ,广东人习惯叫「面粉糕」,后来再加上友族朋友的一句 kuih ,它又变成了「面粉 kuih」。 一碗面粉糕,名字却可以切换好几种语言。听起来有点乱,但我们早就习惯了。因为这正是马来西亚的日常——一句话里,华语、方言、英文、马来文,轮流上场,谁也不抢戏。 当年在为店取名的时候,我们并没有想太多。只是想要一个 叫得顺口、听起来亲切 的名字。 「面粉 kuih」在广东话里念起来,慢慢就变成了「min-fen-kuih」。而「居」,在广东话里,正好也是 kuih 的发音,
